Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Poeit, an AI-powered poetry and writing studio operated by Poeit (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Poeit. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@poeit.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all poems, drafts, and other content you create in Poeit. By using the app you grant us a limited license to store, sync, and display your content to you across your devices and, for content you choose to publish publicly, to other Poeit users.

You are solely responsible for your content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

4. AI-Generated Content

Poeit uses AI models to assist with writing. AI-generated suggestions are tools to help you write — you are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI output before publishing or sharing it. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, originality, or quality of AI-generated content.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the app
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the AI tools to generate content that is hateful, harassing, or violates the rights of others

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

Poeit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poeit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
